Unfortunately the forester's house was closed due to the corona, but since we will be in the area more often and the crisis cannot and will not last forever, we will definitely come again! The location is great and even the guard dog greeted us warmly through the fence. Hold on !!!

I can only recommend. Now, just before Christmas, there's a goose to go. Just put it in the oven at home and the feast is ready. Highly recommended! Delicious. I can only recommend everyone!

If you are happy on your birthday that the children and grandchildren come to visit, you would also like to relieve your dear wife for once. Said; done and ordered a whole goose at the forester's house waiter in time. As usual in Eichsfeld, it should be enough. Annemarie and Karl in the forester's house must have misunderstood that! What I then picked up from them was not only great; they must also have thought I won't get anything to eat before Christmas. What I want to say: the food was not only excellent, but also very rich; great class. As is well known, one can argue about taste, but my family agreed: whether the soup, the homemade dumplings, the red and kale and the sauce; everything a pleasure and highly recommended. Thanks to the forester's house for this culinary enrichment of my birthday!

There is currently goose to pick up due to the corona lockdown. An absolute culinary delight! After picking it up, put it in the oven for a moment and it tasted like it was normally served in the forester's house. Highly recommended! Keep it up!

Best cake ever. Supplement because we were there again today: Use the time to eat with Annemarie and Karl Gans. I could sit down there! Tender as butter and refined with herb dumplings and a wonderful sauce with wine. First a pumpkin cream soup, suitable for the season and a delicious dessert at the end. My tip: don't eat anything beforehand, the portions are really decent. Unfortunately, I didn't photograph soup. Was too greedy! ;)

Extremely tasty menu selection. With a bigger rush on the sunny Sunday afternoon, the staff was a bit overwhelmed, but always friendly.

We have been vacationing in HH for years and each time one or more trips to the Forsthaus Kellner. We were there with our family again this year 2020. Everyone was enthusiastic again about the tasty dishes, the brisk service and the chef's art of baking. The "cold dog" is just amazing. It is a true paradise and we very much hope that it will offer guests joy and pure relaxation for many years to come! And hopefully soon again Monday - Sunday, of course with rest days! All the best for that!

Friendly service. The 3 course menu was great, not too much not too little, just right. Quiet location. Well, that I stopped at the forest house would have missed something else.

Great food, prices ok. nice service, but only open on Sundays! Jan./Febr. completely closed - company holidays!

Many years ago I had a coffee here ... otherwise I can not say much about the place. Good starting point for walks or small hikes.
